We are thrilled to welcome the celebrated international cellist Robert Cohen to the Festival. Hailed as one of the foremost cellists of our time (“It is easy to hear what the fuss is about, he plays like a God” – New York Stereo Review), Robert studied with William Pleeth, Jacqueline du Pré and Mistislav Rostropovich and has played concertos and given masterclasses worldwide for forty-five years. He joins pianist, Brenda Blewett to perform Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata, Three Romances of Clara Schumann and his own arrangement of Widmung, Schumann’s love-song to his wife. Robert then joins Chaos Collective to perform the majestic Schubert String Quintet.
