Tristan McCardel delighted us in last year’s Festival and returns this year having since won the coveted title Norfolk Young Musician of the Year 2025. This year he will perform Ravel’s virtuoso masterpiece Tzigane and the beautiful Romance no.2 by Beethoven. He will share the stage with talented young tenor Benjamin Griffiths performing the haunting song-cycle by Butterworth, A Shropshire Lad alongside hits from the world of music theatre. They will be accompanied by Brenda Blewett, former Head of Accompaniment at Chetham’s School of Music and a specialist in nurturing and accompanying young musicians as they set out on their musical journeys.
